Step into a peaceful afternoon of brush, ink, and colour in this traditional Chinese painting workshop inspired by the elegance of wisteria and the lively spirit of birds.

Following the warm response from previous workshops, this session explores “Wisteria & Birds” (紫藤花鳥) — a classic theme in Chinese flower-and-bird painting symbolising grace, vitality, harmony, and the beauty of nature.

Guided by artist Su Yao, you’ll be introduced to the foundations of Chinese painting, including brush techniques, ink flow, colour layering, and composition. Through gentle guidance, you’ll discover the subtle beauty of colour transitions created with ink and mineral pigments, capturing the cascading movement of wisteria and the expressive charm of birds.

More than a painting class, this is a calm and mindful creative space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect through art.

🖌️ By the end of the workshop, you will create:

• Your own Chinese painting artwork on Xuan paper
• A deeper understanding of traditional flower-and-bird painting techniques
